In case you missed it, a much anticipated interior design book hit the shelves last week
much to the delight of myself and interior enthusiasts everywhere.  And although mine was pre-orered and delivered promptly by Amazon prime, I’m a little embarrassed to say I just opened it for the first time last night.   Now, I knew I was in love with Anne Sage’s first frolic into bound pages from the instant it’s title seeped into my consciousness, but with every flip of the wrist and turn of the page, my devotion grew ever deeper.

But let’s start at the beginning, Sage Living |Decorate for the Life You Want, “Your best life starts at home.”

Simply and eloquently put.  I want to make it my mantra.  Act as if and put yourself in alignment with the life you desire through your space, fill it with your dreams and surround yourself with all that inspires and never let limitations suffocate you.  Create and curate for your higher self and elevate your life as you know it through purposeful design, and then watch as a new reality blossoms.  Decorate to live it now and in turn, be it now.  This is Sage Living and I’m in, here and now!

“Looking past trends and decor for show, Sage Living goes deeper to explore how our homes help us connect, entertain, create, celebrate, and grow with our friends and family.”  Nathan Williams, Founder and Editor in Chief Kinfolk Magazine.

And thus begins the rich content of Anne Sage matched with the keen eye of Emily Johnston.  Page after page of both dynamic design and purposeful words, it’s easy to devour each profiled space and the dreamers who occupy them, but if you can, slow down and savor all that meets the eye, the passion resides in the subtle details and invites you to pause and take care.  Seamlessly fused into each stunner after another, scores of design tips delivered authentically Sage, able to be digested and done with perfect ease, evoke creativity and exceed expectations, making it almost impossible to decide where to dive in first.

Also nearly impossible to nail down, my absolute delight to turn the page and see my friend and designer extraordinaire, Susie Ho of Mend.  Deserving every ray of sunshine pouring down, Susie’s vibrant yet polished style has kept me inspired and awe struck ever since I first set foot in her tiny green wallpapered bathroom in Long Beach years ago.  An instant fan, I’ve loved following her career and her pins and can honestly say, I am in constant amazement of her limitless talent.  So, well done Susie, I couldn’t be happier for you!

Now what could be cooler than unexpectedly seeing your friend in print?  In such an inspiring and meaningful manor?  Right now, nothing.  But coming close, a must share accolade from none other than my designer crush, Emily Henderson, a beautifully conveyed compliment that elaborates on the purpose and the passion behind Sage Living’s message.

“What I love about this book is how it breaks down the relationship between our home and our happiness.  It’s no secret that our home makes us happy, and in turn our happiness makes our home, and this book points out the connection in a way that is relatable and doable.” Emily Henderson, Stylist, TV Host, Designer, Blogger

See, I told you this book was worthy of some serious praise.  So, if you love all that is happy and creative and meaningful, Sage Living will deliver far past it’s pages and deep into your desired life.
