So this is me in a nutshell, I’m Kerri, a pug loving mother of 3 (boys) who loves writing and everything “home.”  I can craft my way out of just about any design dilemma and I’ve never met a room I didn’t like (in the end anyway).  Designing, decorating, crafting, it all just makes me happy and so I’m trading in traditional employment to be happy more; seriously, deliriously happy (as much as humanly possible).  And I’m inviting you along for the ride.

Messybydesign is my passions, my projects and my aspirations all wrapped up into one pretty little theme.  It’s an outlet to share what I’ve learned and celebrate where I’m going.  It’s a testament to dreaming big, living bigger and truly believeing no dreamer is too small or daydream too big.  And I’m going to accomplish all this by following my heart and my happy, every single day.

I’ll share with you the things that keep me up at night and the things that make me happy.  I’ll show you what inspires me and if you want, we can craft until the morning light.  I can be your therapist or your decorator or anything in between — because even though I love a well designed room, a fabulous find and a good DIY project as much as the next do-it-yourself blogger, as a friend, I know not every challenge needs to be met by yourself.

So, now that we’re friends here are some things you may want to know:

I live in Los Angeles but I’m originally from the east coast, born and raised in PA.

I have 3 boys including a set of twins, which is like being outnumbered to the nth degree.

We have a pug named Titus and my favorite grown up color is grey.  Purple – periwinkle to be exact is my childhood in technicolor.

I have a thing for textiles, some may call it an obsession, and currently I’m devouring anything and everything LOA related — which also has me trying to learn the art of meditation.  Maybe if I were on the perfect couch set upon the perfect rug accompanied by the most perfect pillows it would easier.  But I’m a work in progress.

Oh, and I’ve also switched from coffee to Chai, because a good Chai latte makes me really really happy right around 3 o’clock. So, next time we meet my friend, maybe as you sip your morning coffee, check in and see what’s new, know I’ll share my happy sipping a hot Chai tea latte.

And if you want to know more, dive into the not so little ditty or subscribe!  Because I’m telling you, believe it not, things are happening, really happening for me and I’m here to share it all and bare it all.  So maybe do both, subscribe and keep reading!  Just a little friendly advice.
