Home Goods happy, no way!   I’m on a Home Goods high.  Seriously, I feel like I’ve hit the Home Goods lottery.  And for anyone in the Los Angeles area, it was the Westchester Home Goods to be exact, near the airport.  I’m telling you, s e r oi o u s l y good stuff right now.  The kind of stuff that begs you to scrap whatever you came in for and head off in a whole new inspired direction.  I made two trips this week and neither disappointed.

But let me back up.  Remember that friend I mentioned in Mysterious Ways, the one who resigned without a plan?  Well, she made a plan and she has a vision.   She’s opening her own showroom here in Los Angeles and as luck would have it (wink wink) I am available to help her fill up a completely empty, entirely white 1400 sq foot showroom in 3 weeks!  Yup, 3 weeks! Ha! Tight I know, but I promised her I’d have it all ordered and shopped by today and wham!  I’m done.  And had I known I was going to score big, this big, I would have found some time to sleep!

Nah, I’m not a big sleeper.  But I am officially in the business of making rooms happy.  Best part, this isn’t just a friends home I’m designing and decorating, it’s a public space so lots of people will see it, and who knows!  But don’t worry, I won’t abandon my post (just told you sleep eludes me)  — you will get to see every inch transformed into her new “home.”  This is what it looks like now, or at least as of Monday!

I know what you’re probably thinking, 3 weeks…now way.  Well, it’s not an option, she has appointments coming in mid August!  So have some faith!  So far, it’s been a breeze, the shopping part anyway!

But instead of rambling on here like you know I can, I’m just going to let her vision and my finds speak for themselves and say one final time, Home Goods made me really really happy!

Ok, so here is just a few images from the inspiration I was working off of on Pinterest but you can see the full board here for Nicasa.

As you can see, she likes white but cozy whites, she likes romantic but not shabby chic and modern but not too glam all with a light rustic touch.  Easy peasy.  Here’s what I found:

And if all of this isn’t enough, this by far was our biggest score.  I don’t even know what it is exactly, some sort of faux pony hair maybe?  But whatever it is, it’s insane.  We plan on displaying jewelry in it, or on it…something.  But this against at a wall with all of the heads adorned with some paint and roses hung above it.  I can’t wait.  It’s just soooo good!

I think we are off to a pretty good start!  Thank you Home Goods!
